Quail Valley Country Club has a women's golf association which exists to promote good fellowship and sportsmanship among its members. This association is named Quail Valley Women's Golf Association and encourages active participation of its members in playing golf on play days and taking part in golf tournaments.
Membership is open to all women golf members in good standing of the Quail Valley Country Club. Persons having paid their association dues are eligible to compete with the QVWGA. There are two eighteen-hole play days. One is Saturday afternoon and the other is Wednesday morning. A nine-hole play day is also held on Wednesday morning. Each group has tournaments throughout the year and also participates in inter-club competition with other clubs in the area.
During the year, six couples’ tournaments are held that are sponsored by the QVWGA. The couple running the tournament chooses the format of play. A two-day mixed couples tournament and social event is also sponsored once a year by the QVWGA.
There are general meetings held five times a year when the members are informed of current activities. Following these meetings, an eighteen-hole scramble is played with both the eighteen and nine-hole groups participating. A holiday luncheon is held in December where year-end awards are presented for various categories of achievement.
