In an effort to keep our residents and neighbors informed, we created this Webpage to share with you the status of the Quail Valley Country Club golf courses and our plans for the future of the club. We believe communication is important during times of change, and we want residents to understand and be involved in the changes taking place in their community.

As we strive to find workable solutions with the help of the Quail Valley community leadership and City of Missouri City officials, we will update this page to keep you informed of our progress. In the meantime, should you have any questions, please feel free to contact Quail Valley Country Club at (281) 810-0114.

The Quail Valley Country Club ran the following letter August 29 and 30 in the Fort Bend Star and the Houston Chronicle This Week.

As you may know, the leadership of Missouri City made the decision during the August 20 city council meeting to try to acquire our property, the Quail Valley Country Club, and convert it to a municipal golf course. Should we refuse to sell, city officials stated they will attempt to take our property by eminent domain, despite the certainty of a long and expensive legal battle.

City officials are rationalizing their campaign to take the country club with your tax dollars based upon a recent study conducted by National Golf Foundation, Inc. (NGF), a subsidiary of the National Golf Foundation.

We read the report and respectfully disagree with the city’s understanding of the report’s findings. In addition, we believe the NGF report underestimated the costs to operate the property and to make the renovations the NGF recommended.

Please take a moment to read our letter. We believe these are issues that affect all Missouri City residents. For your convenience, you may read the NGF’s report here.

The Quail Valley Country Club ran the following ad August 15 and 16 in the Fort Bend Star and the Houston Chronicle This Week . Because the changes taking place at the Quail Valley Country Club could impact our entire community, we believe it is important to share with everyone the goals of the club and how we are moving forward to achieve those goals.

We are diligently working to bring city officials and neighborhood leaders together to develop a mutually beneficial solution that would revitalize the club and put resident home values back on a growth path. Our proposal includes the following broad goals:

  • Ensure the club's permanent financial viability;
  • Re-establish the club as a driver of home value growth in Quail Valley and a generator of cash flow for the community to use as it sees fit;
  • Enable the members, through their elected Board of Governors, to have day-to-day management control of club operations;
  • Avoid conversion of the club to a municipal facility funded by local tax dollars;
  • Provide sufficient resources to pay for maintenance and upgrade of the club's aging physical assets; and
  • Ultimately, permit the Quail Valley Fund homeowner's association the option to acquire the club.
